MMEU Provides Essential Services at Kalama Park – June 16

On Monday, June 16, 2025, the MMEU (Mobile Medical Education Unit) was stationed at Kalama Park in Kihei to provide Maui’s houseless community mental health services, food stamps, non-critical wound care, clothing, and much more.

Mahalo to Community Partners:

Aloha House: provided 15 participants with information regarding substance use and/or mental health services.

Department of Education: distributed food, hygiene kits, and other personal care items.

Dr. Ricalde-Garcia: provided blood pressure testing for three individuals, provided 11 medical care kits, and provided three people with medical non-critical wound care.

Maui Humane Society: provided six animals with various services, including food distribution, dog toys, collars, leashes, and harnesses.

The MMEU will be stationed at Kalama Park, Kihei, between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. in June.
