School’s Back in Session – Let’s keep our keiki and community safe.
As the new school year begins, the Maui Police Department asks for your kōkua in keeping our roadways safe for students and pedestrians:
- Stop and yield to pedestrians at crosswalks and intersections
- Always stop for crossing guards holding a stop sign
- Never pass a vehicle stopped for pedestrians
- Do not pass a school bus that is loading or unloading children
- Follow all posted school zone speed limits
- Use designated drop-off and pick-up zones
- Do not block the driveways of nearby residents
Let’s work together to protect our keiki and pedestrians to ensure a safe start to the school year.
