Public Assistance Requested: Theft Investigation
The Maui Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying the male shown in the depicted photograph. He is a person of interest in a theft investigation that occurred on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at a commercial base yard located on East Welakahao Road in Kihei.
At approximately 2:43 a.m., an unknown male suspect gained entry by cutting through a perimeter fence and a secured lock. The male then accessed a building using a stolen remote key and removed items estimated at $200,000. The male fled the area at approximately 3:24 a.m. in a stolen Toyota T100 pick-up truck bearing Hawaii license plate LNA 830.
Surveillance footage describes the suspect as a heavier-set male wearing a long-sleeve shirt, shorts, a mask, and a hat. He has a large tattoo on his right buttock area, additional tattoos on both legs, and visible ink on the back of his right heel.
