Public Assistance Needed: Maalaea Boat Harbor Assault

Assault in the Second Degree

On Saturday, June 14, 2025, at approximately 4:20 a.m., two males—a 24-year-old Kihei resident and a 62-year-old Lahaina resident—were assaulted by a group of three to four unknown males, possibly of Caucasian and Polynesian descent, near Slip 22 at the Maalaea Boat Harbor.

During the assault, both victims were repeatedly punched and kicked in the head and body, resulting in various injuries.

One victim refused medical attention at the scene, while the second victim later sought medical treatment on his own.

The Maui Police Department is actively investigating this incident and requests assistance from the public.
