MPD’s Mobile Medical Unit Supports Houseless Community in Kihei 💙

On Monday, November 17, 2025, the MMEU (Mobile Medical Education Unit) was stationed at Kalama Park in Kihei to provide mental health services, food stamps, non-critical wound care, clothing, and other essential resources to Maui's houseless community.
Mahalo to Community Partner:
Dr. Ricalde-Garcia: offered blood pressure testing for individuals, provided seven medical care kits, and medical non-critical wound care to two individuals.
Imua Servcices: offered health insurance and SNAP benefits.
Maui Aids Foundation: provided 13 participants with medical information and provided free STD testing.
The MMEU will be stationed at Kalama Park, Kihei, between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. in December.
