MMEU Provides Services at Kalama Park on May 5

On Monday, May 5, 2025, the MMEU (Mobile Medical Education Unit) was stationed at Kalama Park in Kihei to provide Maui’s houseless community mental health services, food stamps, non-critical wound care, clothing, and much more.
Mahalo to Community Partners:
Dr. Ricalde-Garcia offered blood pressure testing for individuals, offered medical care kits, and provided one individual with medical non-critical wound care.
Maui Aids Foundation: distributed hygiene kits and other personal care items, offered medical QUEST information, and offered free STD testing.
Maui Humane Society: provided animals with various services; vaccinations, distribution of food, dog toys, collars, leashes, and harnesses.
The MMEU will be stationed at Kalama Park, Kihei, between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. in May and June.
