MMEU Continues Support at Kalama Park – May 19

On Monday, May 19, 2025, the MMEU (Mobile Medical Education Unit) was stationed at Kalama Park in Kihei to provide Maui’s houseless community mental health services, food stamps, non-critical wound care, clothing, and much more.

Mahalo to Community Partners:

Aloha House: provided 16 participants with information regarding substance use and/or mental health services.

Maui Aids Foundation: provided participants with food, distributed hygiene kits and other personal care items, offered medical QUEST information, provided blood pressure readings, non-critical wound care, and completed one free STD testing.

Maui Humane Society: provided eight animals with various services; vaccinations, distribution of food, dog toys, collars, leashes, and harnesses.

The MMEU will be stationed at Kalama Park, Kihei, between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. in June.
