MMEU Continues Support at Kalama Park – April 28

On Monday, April 28, 2025, the MMEU (Mobile Medical Education Unit) was stationed at Kalama Park in Kihei to provide Maui’s houseless community mental health services, food stamps, non-critical wound care, clothing, and much more.

Mahalo to Community Partners:

Aloha House: provided 14 participants with information regarding substance use and/or mental health services.

Department of Education: distributed food, hygiene kits, hats, shoes, sunscreen, and other personal care items.

Maui Aids Foundation: distributed hygiene kits and other personal care items, offered medical QUEST information, and offered free STD testing.

Maui Humane Society: provided five animals with various services; vaccinations, distribution of food, dog toys, collars, leashes, and harnesses.

The MMEU will be stationed at Kalama Park, Kihei, between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. in May and June.
