Missing Person Update: Search for Nina Sofia Mohr Continues

MISSING PERSON UPDATE

The Maui Police Department continues its active investigation into the disappearance of Nina Sofia Mohr (45) of Texas.

Due to new information developed during the investigation, the Maui Police Department's helicopter, Hekili, will be conducting aerial search operations in the Haiku area today. In addition to the helicopter activity, area residents may notice an increase in law enforcement and Maui Search and Rescue personnel.

Ms. Mohr was reported missing by a concerned family member on Sunday, July 19, 2026. She was last seen on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at approximately 7:00 p.m. at a friend's residence in Haiku. Her friend contacted Ms. Mohr's family after discovering she was no longer at the residence and that her cell phone had been left behind. Ms. Mohr does not have a vehicle.

Ms. Mohr is described as Caucasian-Hispanic, 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing approximately 150–160 pounds. She has brown hair, usually worn in a bun, and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black T-shirt or tank top with "MAUI" on it and tan/brown shorts. She is not currently wearing eyeglasses.
