Missing Person: Help Locate Kaikoa Maeda-Kalani

The Maui Police Department requests the public’s assistance with any information regarding the whereabouts of Kaikoa Maeda-Kalani (15) of Kahului.

Mr. Maeda-Kalani was reported missing by a concerned family member on Thursday, August 20, 2026. Mr. Maeda-Kalani was last seen being dropped off at school in Kahului on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at approximately 7:20 a.m.; it was later reported he did not attend any classes after 11:00 a.m. Mr. Maeda-Kalani does not have a phone or vehicle.

Mr. Maeda-Kalani is described as being Hawaiian, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, and weighing about 220 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black, long-sleeved shirt with an unknown design, light blue pants, and black shoes.
