National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week is April 13–19, 2025
This week, we proudly recognize the incredible members of the Maui Police Department’s Communications Section in honor of National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week.
They are the first voice you hear. In moments of crisis, they are the calm professionals who answer emergency calls, coordinate rapid responses, and dispatch assistance—24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
They guide the way while others run toward the danger. Their steady voices provide reassurance, direction, and critical support when every second counts.
They are the unseen heroes behind the scenes. Though you may never see them, their impact is felt in every emergency response.
Their tireless commitment ensures that help is always just a call away.
On behalf of the Maui Police Department, we extend our deepest gratitude to our dispatchers and all Public Safety Telecommunicators across the nation. We appreciate your hard work, compassion, and unwavering dedication to serving and protecting our communities.
Please join us in celebrating and thanking our dispatchers for the vital role they play in keeping us safe.
